Dubai Mounted Police issued 463 traffic fines during 1,464 patrol rounds last year

Mounted Police patrols conducted checks on individuals and vehicles and protected and secured sports facilities.

Over the past year, the Dubai Police, represented by the Mounted Police Station, have carried out 1,464 mounted patrols in various areas, including police jurisdictions, industrial zones, commercial districts, and tourist attractions.
This proactive initiative led to the issuance of 463 traffic fines, and the securing of 38 matches. Additionally, the patrols conducted checks on individuals and vehicles and protected and secured sports facilities.
Major General Dr Expert Mohammed Issa Al Adhab, Director of the Mounted Police Station, highlighted the vital role that mounted patrols play in enhancing community security and safety. He noted that these units work in cooperation with other police patrols to cultivate a sense of reassurance among the public, forming an essential part of the overall security framework in the emirate of Dubai.

Al Adhab clarified that the Mounted Police Station plays a crucial strategic role in reducing crime, thanks to its effective capabilities in apprehending suspects and wanted individuals and its patrols' ability to navigate narrow areas inaccessible to regular vehicles. He noted that the mounted patrols support police stations and achieve 100% coverage of the emirate through four strategically distributed points of presence.
165 EVENTS
Al Adhab announced that the Events and Shows Division participated in and organised 165 events last year, up from 159 activities in 2023.
Additionally, 2,121 knights were trained and qualified 2024 for various races, a significant increase compared to 951 knights in 2023. Furthermore, 177 cadet officers were trained last year, compared to 80 in 2023.
THERAPEUTIC PROGRAMMES
Al Adhab also emphasised that the Station offers several therapeutic programs, including the "Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy" program, which benefited 36 participants. Additionally, the "Therapeutic Training for People of Determination," conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development and the Community Development Authority, served 126 beneficiaries in 2024.
CHAMPIONSHIPS AND SERVICES
He also mentioned that the Equestrian Team participated in 9 championships last year, compared to 8 in 2023. Furthermore, 275 individuals benefited from the desert horseback riding service in 2024, an increase from 268 in 2023. Additionally, 25 beneficiaries enjoyed the pony riding service.
