Separate areas across the country experienced fog and lower horizontal visibility for three hours from 6:30am till 9:30am on Monday.
The fog blanketed Abu Al Abyad Island in Abu Dhabi and Al Mirfa, Qareen Al Aish, Al Hamra and Ghayathi in Al Dhafra Region.
The lowest temperature of 19.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Barakah 2 in Al Dhafra Region at 6:30am.
A drop in temperature is expected on Tuesday and another on Wednesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Tuesday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy and dusty at times with a drop in temperature but will be humid at night and on Wednesday morning in some northern coastal areas.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active gradually and dust-stirring at 15 to 30 and up to 40 km/h, causing the horizontal visibility to be lower at times, while the sea will have moderate waves but may become rough in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy and dusty at times with a further drop in temperature.
Moderate to active northwesterly winds will blow, turning to strong and dust-stirring at times offshore at 15 to 30 and up to 45 km/h, causing the horizontal visibility to be lower, while the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and will have regular to moderate waves but may become rough at night in the Sea of Oman.
Thursday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy and dusty at times. Moderate to active northwesterly winds will blow, turning to strong and dust-stirring at times offshore at 15 to 30 and up to 50 km/h, causing the horizontal visibility to be lower at times, while the see will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Sea of Oman.
Friday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy but humid at night and on Saturday morning in some coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active to strong and dust-stirring offshore at 10 to 30 and up to 45 km/h, while the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to one with moderate waves in the Sea of Oman.
