The educational community and people of Ras Al Khaimah paid the last honours to Fatima Abdullah Al Nakhilawi Al Mansouri, a female teacher known for her devotion to her career that spanned more than 34 years in the educational field, who passed away in a tragic accident. She was 60 years old.
The deceased was one of the early female teachers to join the education sector in the early 1980s, having begun her teaching duties in 1981. During her career, she held several educational and administrative positions in a number of schools in the emirate.
“We were appointed together on the same day in 1981 and studied educational qualifications,” said Zainab Al Rifai, a retired principal and colleague of the deceased.
“Fatima initially worked as a kindergarten teacher and then as an administrative supervisor at Al Zahraa School (currently Zahrat Al Madaen School) before being promoted to become principal of Makkah School and later of Ahmed Bin Majid School,” she added.
“Later, she took over the management of Umm Al Dardaa School in the Shamal area from 1991 until her retirement in 2015,” she said.
Al Rifai praised the career of her late colleague, noting that she was a model of discipline and dedication to her work and an educational figure who left a clear mark on every school she worked in.
The condolence majlis was widely attended by educators and residents of the emirate, who expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of one of the pillars of education in Ras Al Khaimah.
