Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced a temporary closure of the exit leading to Sharjah City via Bridge no.4 on the Sharjah-Al Dhaid Road.
The closure began on Wednesday and will continue until April 29, enabling the SRTA to implement development work as part of ongoing infrastructure projects to improve the quality of roads and public facilities.
In a post on social media, the SRTA stated that the closure was part of a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing traffic flow and improving the efficiency of the road network.
During this period, the SRTA is implementing a series of development projects, including engineering improvements to the exit and infrastructure maintenance and upgrades to ensure the highest standards of safety and traffic efficiency.
The roads leading to the bridge would be temporarily closed, while alternative routes would be provided to ensure continuous traffic flow and avoid any potential traffic jams, the SRTA said.
These projects are part of its strategic plans to provide advanced and sustainable infrastructure that contributes to enhancing the quality of life and supports the Emirate of Sharjah’s vision of providing integrated services that keep pace with global best practices, it added.
The SRTA called on all road users to abide by road signs and traffic safety instructions and to plan their routes in advance to avoid any delays or congestion, stressing that work teams would be working round the clock to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
