Rashid Center for People of Determination has signed a cooperation agreement with Buildup, a leading exhibition and events’ solution company, to organise a series of events as part of the ‘Year of Community’ under the theme ‘Hand in Hand’.
The joint agreement is step aligns with the vision of the UAE's wise leadership, specifically with the declaration by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to consolidate the values of solidarity and community cohesion.
After the signing of the agreement, Ziad Ghaloul, CEO of Buildup, toured various facilities and interacted with the students of determination along with Maryam Othman, CEO of Rashid Center.
Ghaloul said, "The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of Buildup’s commitment to its social responsibilities and to reinforce the values of giving and humanitarian work established by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul in peace. These values continue to represent a well-established approach in the UAE, embodying its position as a global home for goodness and tolerance.”
He further said, “The agreement aims to support and empower people of determination through a range of unique initiatives, including financial and logistical support for educational activities, as well as integrating students’ work into real-life projects implemented by the company. This will contribute to developing their skills and enhancing their integration into society. The agreement also includes organising joint volunteer activities to promote a culture of volunteering."
He appreciated the centre’s services towards the students, he said, “Our collaboration with the Rashid Center, which has been making tremendous efforts since its inception to empower this important segment of society, stems from our belief in the need to play an active role in the Year of Community 2025. This initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening community ties in inclusive environments where the spirit of initiative and responsibility thrives.
“We are committed to empowering people of determination and providing the necessary support to showcase their creative abilities. Dubai has become a global model for supporting and empowering people of determination, and we at Buildup continue this approach, believing that humanitarian work is not just an initiative, but an integral part of our culture,” he added.
Maryam Othman, CEO of the Rashid Center, expressed her gratitude for the partnership, stressing that it represents an important step toward providing quality educational and community experiences for the centre's students, contributing to enhancing their capabilities and opening new horizons for their creativity and active participation in society.
