Speeding motorist jumps red light and crashes into his brother’s car in Saudi Arabia, four killed

A tragic accident occurred in Hafr Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia, in which four people lost their lives after a speeding motorist jumped a red light and collided head-on with a vehicle.

Surprisingly, among the victims was the motorist’s younger brother.

Hafr Al-Batin witnessed an unbelievably tragic accident, the story of which is as heartbreaking as it is heartbreaking for one father.

The eldest son, 27, jumped a red light at the intersection of King Fahd Road and Prince Sultan Street, colliding head-on with a vehicle driven by his younger brother, 25, and three of his friends.

The violent collision resulted in the death of the younger son and his three companions at the scene from their severe injuries.

The driver jumping the red light was transferred to the intensive care unit at King Khalid General Hospital, where his condition was described as critical.

Eyewitnesses reported that the sound of the collision was like a loud explosion, followed by smoke rising from both vehicles and shattering their glass across a wide area of ​the intersection.

Passersby and ambulance crews rushed to rescue the injured.

The family of the victims was in shock, as the father found himself facing a double tragedy: the immediate loss of one of his younger son, while the other struggled between life and death in an accident that brought them together unexpectedly.

It's worth noting that the intersection of King Fahd Road and Prince Sultan Street is one of the city's most vital intersections. Over the past few months, it has witnessed several serious accidents, prompting neighborhood residents to demand increased automated traffic control and enhanced warning signs.

Relatives of the family appealed to the community to pray for the injured driver, asking God to have mercy on the deceased and to grant their parents patience and solace.
