Emirates has announced that all passengers traveling to the United States must fill in and sign a declaration form before check-in, unless they qualify for an official exemption.
In an update published on its website on Wednesday, the airline clarified that the requirement also applies to passengers transiting through the United States.
The declaration confirms that the passenger has not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 21 days before their scheduled flight departure.
Emirates stressed the importance of providing accurate and truthful information, noting that each passenger must submit a separate declaration. Where permitted under the guidelines, an authorised representative may fill in and sign the form on a passenger’s behalf.
Passengers are instructed to download the form from the official U.S. government website, print it, fill in the required details, and present a hard copy for verification at check-in. For those transiting through the United States, the forms may be reviewed at the boarding gate.
