Emma Stone

When you are watching a movie and you are totally engrossed in the story and a particular character, do you ever wonder what that movie would look like if a different actor had played that role? Well, this week we are looking at famous actors who got rejected from certain movie roles they auditioned for.

I enjoyed the movie “Alice in Wonderland.” Alice was played by the Australian actress Mia Wasikowska and she did a brilliant job. Interestingly, it was Emma Stone who originally auditioned for the Tim Burton fantasy film, but she was rejected. I just cannot imagine her playing Alice, Burton definitely made the right choice with Mia.

It is really difficult to imagine the movie “Titanic” without Leonardo DiCaprio in it. He was part of what made the film so epic along with Kate Winslet. Matthew McConaughey actually auditioned for the role of Jack. There is no way he would have made a good Jack. DiCaprio was the only man for the job.

The comedy “Clueless” came out back in 1995 starring Alicia Silverstone as a wealthy teenager living in Beverly Hills. She was so good in this role. Apparently, Reese Witherspoon and Angelina Jolie both auditioned for the role of Cher. They are both terrific actresses, but Alicia was the one who was ultimately chosen.
