It’s a welcome move by the Twitter owner Elon Musk, one of the richest persons in the world, who announced the American media executive Linda Yaccarino to be Twitter Chief Executive Officer (“Linda Yaccarino to be Twitter CEO, says Musk,” May 13, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Yaccarino, director of global advertising at NBCUniversal, announced that she has resigned from the corporation on Friday, to take up her new role as CEO of Twitter. This comes a day after Elon Musk announced on Twitter the appointment of a new CEO for Twitter, although he did not mention the name of the new person.

Musk said in his tweet, “The new president will start work in about six weeks.”

The world’s number one social media platform Twitter, which has billions of users, who are glued to the social media platform 24/7, was experiencing lots of changes from the time Elon Musk took over as its new boss.

Elon Musk is a successful businessman but there was an urgent need for a person to become CEO of Twitter who has the ability to make one of the top social media platforms more user friendly.
