The Dubai Police crackdown on riders who violated traffic laws and regulations is highly laudable (“Dubai Police impound 640 bicycles and e-scooters for traffic violations,” July 14, Gulf Today website.

Bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters riders should obey the Roads and Transport authority’s rules which are in the best interest of their own and others.

The violators of traffic rules — who are not only putting their own lives on stake, but others also — should pay the price for violating traffic laws.
