The decision made by the Sharjah government to allow free parking on Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday is highly laudable (“Sharjah announces free public parking on Sunday on Prophet’s birthday,” Sept.13, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Sharjah Municipality announced that users of public parking lots in Sharjah will be exempted from fees on Sunday, September 15, 2024, on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday. This decision excludes public parking spaces subject to fees throughout the week and on official holidays that can be identified by the blue signboard.

Free parking will benefit millions of residents in Sharjah which they can avail as a gift for the whole day on Sunday so that people can celebrate the holiday with their families.
