Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the day, picking up 4 wickets.

It was a great day for Test cricket on Thursday, when Bangladesh won the toss and asked mighty India to bat first in Chennai during the first Test match, but everything looked bad for India when armed with quick fast bowlers, a confident Bangladesh  got Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubham Gill quickly and shocked Indian dressing room. Pacer Hasan Mahmud did not allow Indian batters to settle down and grabbed four wickets. India was 3 for 34, but young Yashavi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant did some repair work, together they took India to 94.

Then came K.L Rahul and Jaisval, they took India to 144.  Team India looked in bad shape, because they already had lost six wickets, but like always Ravindra Jadega and Ravichnadran Ashwin came for the rescue and batted with great confidence and took India to 376 finally. Ashwin made a century while Jadega made 86. I must appreciate Ashwin and Jadega for their determination and skill. They saved mighty India from embarrassment and now India has a defendable total. At the same time, Bangladeshi bowlers deserve praise for putting India in check. No wonder, they defeated Pakistan with 2-0 and proved they have got potential to be the best in the business. It was amazing to see Hasan, Nahid Rana and Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowling so well. I am sure with time these bowlers will rule the Test cricket. I am sure the contest will become interesting as it progress.
