Keira Knightley

We have all experienced watching a good film with a great plot, mostly great actors and then that one bad performance that seems to over shadow everything else. This week we are taking a look at some bad acting in otherwise great movies.

We know that Keira Knightley was relatively young in age and a newcomer on the acting scene when she starred in “Bend It Like Beckham” way back in 2002. Knightley’s inexperience was too evident in the film where she played a footballer. The actress herself has even admitted that she doesn’t think she was “very good in it.” Knightley still went on to have a very successful career though, proving that one bad role doesn’t have to ruin an actor’s whole career.

“Love Actually,” which happens to also star Knightley, is one of the most successful holiday movies to ever be released. It has become known as a winter classic since it came out in 2003 but there is one actor in the ensemble cast who left critics less than impressed. Hugh Grant played the British Prime Minister in the film and his acting skills are lacking as he seems to not put that much effort into the role. In spite of his awkwardness, the film continues to be a favourite.

In other news this week, turn to our Beauty pages to read about how to keep your hair healthy and full as we change into the new season. It is important to understand the four phases of the hair growth cycle and what you should do to nourish your tresses during each phase.
