Flash flooding in the popular Thai tourist hotspot Chiang Mai has killed three people.

It’s so sad news that flash flooding in popular Thai tourist hotspot Chiang Mai has killed three people (“Flash flooding kills 3 people and two elephants in Thailand’s tourist city of Chiang Mai,” Oct.6, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, flash flooding in the popular Thai tourist hotspot Chiang Mai has killed three people, a health official said on Sunday, as visitors evacuated hotels through knee-high muddy water and shops closed in the city centre. Two elephants also drowned in rapidly rising flood waters north of the city, their sanctuary said on Sunday.

The frequent news about natural disasters like heavy rain, forest fire, earthquake and flooding in different parts of the world in which affected countries are facing destruction of infrastructures, heavy financial losses and sacrificing a number of precious lives shows that the threat of climate change is slowly or gradually gripping the world.

Climate change has become a serious threat to the existence of the world, which affects all walks of life. Climate change is a global phenomenon so it needs collective efforts to deal with Climate change unitedly and save the world for the present and coming generation from its disaster.
