I have recently arrived from India on an employment visa. I am still trying to navigate through this lovely city Dubai. I am loving my time here. At present, I am staying in Satwa, Dubai, and it is a lovely place. Lots of eating joints and hustle and bustle keep the locality agile and it reminds me of my home Delhi. But on Thursday, I was taken aback when I happened to visit Bur Dubai with my colleagues to buy Indian sweets on the occasion of Diwali. I was surprised to see the way Indians celebrated the Festival of Lights, Diwali. I did not miss my home on the occasion of Diwali at all. For a minute, I felt I am either in Mumbai or Delhi. Children were playing with crackers and houses were illuminated with different shapes of lights. Sweet shops were flooded with customers. In fact, I had to wait for an hour to get a box of sweets. After spending my evening I realise why Indians love Dubai.
