Carolyn Ray, CEO and editor of ‘Journeywoman,’ advises women to consider Spain and Italy if thinking of travelling solo. According to Ray, it is easy to connect to people in these countries and a woman should have no issue exploring by herself. For the more experienced solo traveller, Ray advises to consider venturing as far as Ecuador and Columbia. There are incredible sights to see and activities to indulge in including exploring the Amazon by riverboat.
Another expert on ladies holidaying solo is travel journalist and TV host Jeanette Ceja. On the top of her list of places to visit are Cannes and Monaco. These cities are very tourist friendly. In Monte-Carlo in particular, walking between historical sights and mueseums is easy and only a short distance. Ceja also praises the shopping in both places which is a definte plus for most ladies.
