The Sharjah Committee for the Union Day Celebrations has announced a spectacular musical evening at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Sunday, Dec.1, to celebrate the 53rd National Day of the UAE.
The evening will be headlined by the powerful performances of the UAE’s top artists Mehad Hamad and Mutref Al Mutref.
The special evening, dedicated to the UAE and its glorious successes and stellar achievements, will see the musical duo regale the people of Khorfakkan and the east coast of Sharjah with their much-loved songs in the iconic setting of the Amphitheatre overlooking the picturesque beach.
Artist Mehad Hamad is known for his patriotic songs dedicated to the love of the homeland, and pride and honour for the nation.
The artist is popular for heartwarming songs such as “Farhat Watan,” “Ajmal Watan” and “Allah Ya Dar Zayed.”
His name is also associated with a number of well-known songs such as “Fakrak Ma’I,” “Wain Ya Ghaib” and “Hatni Fi Oyounak Wa Ghamd.”
With the UAE National Day concert, the artist is looking to cross another landmark in his distinguished career.
Artist Mutref Al Mutref, a major star on the khaleeji musical firmament, is celebrated for his melodious voice as well as powerful performances that boast both authenticity and modernity.
The artist is looking forward to recreating the magic of his most iconic works that have found wide resonance and acceptance among lovers of khaleeji music across the region as well as some of his latest creations, heightening and sharing the joy of the Union Day celebrations with the audience of Khorfakkan Amphitheatre.
The special National Day musical evening is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the union through patriotic music and traditional performances.
The audience can directly engage and interact with the artists in a tribute to the national identity and Emirati heritage, in an atmosphere filled with feelings of love and belonging to the UAE.
Earlier, the Sharjah Union Day Celebrations Committee has announced its programme of events and celebrations to mark the UAE’s 53rd National Day (Eid Al Etihad) and reflect on the country’s journey of resilience, determination and success, WAM reported.
Union Day is an opportunity for the people of the UAE to renew their loyalty to the nation and its leadership, with all seven emirates uniting in a chain of solidarity and celebration. Sharjah will embrace the occasion with a series of celebrations evoking a sense of pride and a renewed commitment to national development.
The Committee announced a programme running from Nov.21 to Dec.2 featuring headline events that celebrate the UAE’s achievements and heritage across the emirate’s key cultural and tourist sites.
Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Union Day Celebrations Committee, extended his congratulations to the wise leadership and expressed his gratitude to the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah in organising the celebrations.
He commended the efforts of all committee members and entities contributing to the celebrations, underscoring the importance of these activities to both citizens and residents.
Al Midfa said: “Union Day (Eid Al Etihad) reaffirms ‘our national identity as a truly global country that champions the value of tolerance. Everyone is invited to participate in the festivities taking place in Sharjah to celebrate the achievements resulting from the vision and ambition of our leadership and the determination and resilience of our people.”
He added: “The anniversary of the Eid Al Itihad is a day to renew our pledge of loyalty to the nation and its leadership. It is also an opportunity to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to strengthening the UAE’s standing as a leading global destination for tourism, investment, and living, as well as a beacon of progress and prosperity.”
