It is a very interesting and exciting time in the world of cinema as we approach the end of the year. This week we are taking a look at some movies and actors which we think might be in the running for an Oscar nomination.
The Oscar nominations will be announced in January and the guessing games have already begun. The film “Emilia Pérez” has critics buzzing about its high chances of being nominated for the international feature Oscar. The movie is a loose adaptation of a novel that came out in 2018 called “Écoute” by writer Boris Razon. The movie stars some big names including Selena Gomez, Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofia Gascón and Édgar Ramírez.
Could Demi Moore be in the running for an Oscar nomination for her role in the horror film “The Substance?” We certainly think she could. Moore plays a fading celebrity who is on the quest to regain her youth with horrific consequences. There was some talk of the film being to gory for the Oscars but not everyone agrees. The film also stars Margaret Qualley, Dennis Quaid and Hugo Diego Garcia.
