I am a proud Pakistani because my country is a great nation, but some political trouble has left us disturbed. That is why I love the life we lead in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE is a great mix of culture and communal harmony. The 200 or so nationalities live here in amazing peace.
The country’s leadership should be praised wholeheartedly for this interesting progress.
UAE being a home to expatriates from multiple cultures celebrates diversity. Respect the culture and traditions of the country and its residents.
The vast Pakistani community in the UAE plays a crucial role in helping new expats settle into their lives.
Jabeen Adil, living in the UAE for the past 14 years, said, “2nd December (National Day of the UAE) has always been the best time here in Sharjah. We usually spend this day as family gatherings at the Sharjah Corniche.
“Why we meet there is because Al Majaz Waterfront is a major leisure destination that hosts a wide variety of events, concerts and festivals that satisfy all tastes and suit all ages throughout the year. Dazzling light and water shows, art exhibitions, festive celebrations and breathtaking fireworks leave visitors awestruck.
“The events at Al Majaz Waterfront feature a combination of fun, entertainment and learning. They include arts, sports, science, culture and music. These events attract numerous tourists and visitors from all over the UAE and the Arab region,” she added.
Jabeen Adil said, “My second priority is to meet friends that are like family to me here in the UAE. Last but not least is shopping. On this National Day there are so many offers and a visit to Dubai Mall or other shopping centres is always on the top of my checklist.”
