The United Arab Emirates (UAE) commemorates its 53rd National Day on Monday (December 2), a day that marks the unification of seven emirates under one flag in 1971.
The late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan was an Emirati leader beyond compare, philanthropist, and the UAE’s visionary founder and foresaw a boundless future for this nation.
And also he was a man of the people and a firm believer in the betterment of all nations.
The UAE’s leadership proves that the future for this nation lies in a coming generation who shall carry the torch further.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, continues paving the path laid by this great country’s founders.
The 2nd of December is not just a day celebrating the passing of time, for the people of UAE it is a celebration of monumental achievements taking place year after year.
“We being expatriates would like to congratulate the UAE’s leadership and its people on the country’s 53rd National Day,” said Omar Farooq, working as a manager for an event management firm in Dubai.
This historic achievement, a source of immense pride for Emirati citizens and the residents (expatriates) of the UAE, is being celebrated this year with a diverse range of cultural and entertainment events showcasing the nation’s rich and multifaceted heritage.
The UAE is a great mix of culture and communal harmony. The 200 or so nationalities live here in amazing peace.
The UAE’s innovative approach, environment and its strategic location make the country one of the biggest attractions throughout the world.
A Pakistani schoolteacher, Salma Shah, said, “UAE being a home to expatriates from multiple cultures celebrates diversity. We respect the culture and traditions of this country and its residents.”
