The report on how to reduce sugar in your child’s diet is eye-opening and very informative (“Five easy ways to reduce sugar in your child’s diet,” Nov.30, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, researchers found that cutting sugar exposure from conception, up to the child turning two years old, can lessen the chance of them going on to develop high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes.

Keeping strict control of sugar intake in early life may have a major impact on reducing the risk of chronic disease later in adulthood. Luckily, it’s never too late to make healthier choices.

Parents of children should go through the latest research by University of Southern California’s Centre for Economic and Social Research and adopt the easy way to avoid the risk of chronic disease later in adulthood.
