Where are those days cherished when we used to dangle those greeting cards at home during any festivals as a tribute? When was the last time that we handed over a greeting card and that person hugged you? I take a sigh... Personally, from a writer’s point of view I hate it when my WhatsApp is filled with cut copy paste or forwarded messages. For that matter even if they don’t wish me, I am ok with that.
I am thinking if I will even respond anymore. Conversation styles, chat styles have changed. Social facial interaction has depreciated due to which many of us are faced with communication gaps in all aspects.
I even ask myself — Does this really have any meaning? Thanks to WhatsApp for having a voice note feature at least so we are able to hear uttered expressions. If this is sent from your heart, then it’s nothing like it all acclaim and thanks to
the sender.
Our technology is making greeting cards now archaic. The times when we used to hop into stationery shops to grab those greeting cards are now seen very minimal. When my brother used to study in college back in India I used to pen down our emotions, thoughts and although it used to be via post I used to be content and at the same time paranoid whether the card will reach safely.
