It’s that time of the year where we have a lot of award shows coming up. This week we are taking a look at the recently announced Golden Globe nominations which were full of international flavour.
The movie horror science fiction film “The Substance” came out earlier this year to rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The film has collected a total of five nominations including best female performance in a motion picture – musical or comedy for actress Demi Moore and best female actor in a supporting role for Margaret Qualley. Coralie Fargeat is also nominated for best director.
The Spanish language musical “Emilia Pérez” directed by Jacques Audiard leads the list of nominations with a total of 10 nods. The film is based on an opera of the same name and tells the tale of a lawyer who helps a fugitive dissapear. Other nominations include best performace in a motion picture for Karla Sofía Gascón while in the best supporting role category both Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana are nominated.
