Pant in trouble

It is true that the run out of Jaiswal, who was in line for another big knock, opened the flood gate of wickets for the Australian team. On a perusal of the performances of our team, especially seniors like Rohit Sharma, Virat kohli, Jadeja and even Pant, is a really concern. Pant getting out to a terrible shot, deserves notice. We do remember the treatment meted out to our legendary Kapil Dev, who too got out to a rash shot, and the then captain, Sunil Gavaskar dropping him for the next test.

Will Rohit Sharma will get himself dropped and also replace Pant for Sydney Test? Incidentally, the players like Dhoni, Kohli and Jadeja, who run like a hare, getting themselves or their partner run out has become a norm.

Is this an indication of their legs getting weak? Dhoni, wisely quit the game after his run out during the 2019 World Cup. Will Kohli follow suit? Incidentally, thanks to the century of Nitish Reddy and his century partner- ship with Washington Sunder, which has bailed out our team from a rout. We sincerely hope that our bowlers strike gold to get the Aussies bowl out for a low score and set themselves an achievable target in the fourth innings.
