In the last few weeks, the world has lost two great statesmen, in the passing away of past USA President Jimmy Carter and former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh.
President Carter strove towards ushering peace in the Middle East, even after relinquishing office. He was a very humble and accommodating person and was a great listener.
Dr Manmohan Singh was a renowned economist, who moved millions of people in India, above the poverty line through various anti-poverty programmes.
Both these stalwarts will be missed, since their voices of sanity and wisdom are no longer with us.
