The rapid action from Dubai Police against a motorist who violated the RTA rules and performed reckless stunts during rain to get attention from people is highly laudable (“VIDEO: Dubai Police arrest motorist for reckless stunts during rain, Dhs50,000 fine imposed,” Jan.11, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, traffic patrols detected a vehicle driver performing dangerous stunts and driving recklessly in Al Marmoom area, ignoring the warnings issued by Dubai Police on the necessity of abiding by laws during unstable weather conditions.
The beauty of the United Arab Emirates is it allows people from more than 150 counties to live with respect and dignity but they also have to follow the rules of the country strictly. Otherwise no one is above the law and will face the consequences.
