It’s so sad that a suspected car ramming attack in Munich, Germany, injured 28 people. The act of the car ramming attack by an Afghan asylum seeker has raised a number of questions, which needs to be thoroughly investigated (“Nearly 30 hurt in suspected car ramming attack in Munich,” Feb.14, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, some 28 people were hurt when a car driven by an Afghan asylum seeker ploughed into a crowd in Munich on Thursday in what the state premier said was probably an attack, putting security back in focus before next week’s federal election.
The suspected attack also came hours before international leaders including US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy were due to arrive in the southern German city for the Munich Security Conference.
At the time when a high level important Munich Security Conference is taking place, where US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy were due to arrive in southern Germany, the act of terrorism is a matter of serious concern.
I am sure the German government will investigate the attack, which has spread horror in the society and bring the criminal to justice.
