Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority’s decision to construct air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders and completing 40 air-conditioned rest areas is highly laudable (“RTA completes construction of 40 air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders,” Feb.16, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the construction of 40 air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders across key locations in the emirate. The initiative is part of RTA’s efforts to enhance road safety, improve quality of life, and provide essential services and comfort for delivery riders while they wait for new orders.
It also aims to reduce the risk of road accidents and encourage compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
In a fast-changing world the work of delivery riders is on the rise. Delivery riders work round the clock in shifts to fulfil customer demands. I am sure, the job of delivery riders is very tough because in summer time when the day remains too hot, delivery riders perform their duties without wasting time.
Making 40 air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority is a cool way to show care for thousands of delivery riders.
