The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to reach a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine has left a shocking mark on the way of solving problems through diplomatic ways.

To end the senseless war between Russia and Ukraine, in which thousands of people have died from both sides, is the need of the hour (“Trump-Zelensky shouting match stuns world leaders,” March 2, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, European leaders backed Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky after a White House showdown with US President Donald Trump that has cast doubts on efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Russia backed Trump, who openly berated Zelensky on Friday and accused him of having “disrespected” the United States. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who met Trump this week, vowed “unwavering support” for Ukraine and spoke to both Trump and Zelensky following their meeting.

Volodymyr Zelensky has shown zero courtesy towards the only superpower of the world, the United States of America, which is also the main supplier of arms and financial aid to Volodymyr Zelensky who is fighting the war against Russia.
