Desert delight

Definitely it was a desert delight for our Men in Blue, especially for Shreyas Iyer and then Varun Chakravarthy, whose maiden entry in ICC Championship Trophy, with a fifer, took our team to meet the mighty Aussies in the first semi-finals.

Since both India & New Zealand had already qualified for the semi-finals, this match was just a dress rehearsal for them. The way MIB batted and the Black Caps chased, all seems to be a pre-planned one. The way Williams got out goes to prove this.

Probably they were not keen to face the Australian team and had faith in their victory over South Africa. But this SA team seems to be a different team now and is functioning like a well-oiled machine. Well, both the semi-finals would be an interesting spectacle and let the best team win the semi-finals and finals. We only wish that our team include Varun Chakravarthy, who could prove to be a trump card against the Aussies. Well, keep the fingers crossed.
