Our cricket team head coach, Gautam Gambir is dead right that our team haven’t played a perfect game so far during this Championship tournament.
Yes, our captain and his deputy are struggling to come out of their rut. We sincerely hope that both come good during the finals to lay a firm foundation for the rest to set a winning total. In our bowling department too, Mohd. Shami seems to be over-burdened, especially in the absence of injured Bumrah. Hence it would be advantageous if our left arm pace bowler, Arshdeep Singh, is included in place of a spinner.
We do need a penetrating pace bowler during the first power play & death overs and Arshdeep is a safe bet. It is a known fact that the New Zealand team have proved to be a nemesis, especially during the ICC Championships. It would be foolish of our MIB to get overconfident with their semi-final victory against New Zealand, who lost the match intentionally to avoid their nemesis Australia, which they have succeeded.
