Great effort!

India won another global cricket tournament with a four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday. Indian captain Rohit Sharma once again led his team from the front. New Zealand also played very good cricket under the guidance of Mitchell Santner. I am sure Santner will bring many more laureals for his team in the future, while Rohit showed his class and craft once again. Rohit made 76 off 83 balls in the final match.

It was a great team efort by the Indian players. Everyone contributed for this victory. This victory was very important for head coach Gautam Gambhir also. The way Indian players performed throughout the tournament shows their mindet. Despite the absence of star player Jaspreet Bumrah, Indian bowlers managed to restrict opposition in almost all the matches.

I was very happy to see the way senior and junior players performed in the match. This clearly indicates that Indian players are disciplined and they exactly know what is expected from them. Credit goes to the Indian coach and Indian selectors for picking a perfect team. This victory will inspire younger generations for sure. Let’s see how the Indian team goes ahead from here. I am sure India will be looking for a leader for the future. I feel this year IPL is going to be very important as Indian selectors will be looking at the players for future leadership roles.
