It is true that our Men in Blue had played some really good cricket throughout this Championship Tournament, the best being against Pakistan and Australia teams. No doubt, our skipper, who was struggling till the finals, found his touch and led from the front till he got out foolishly.
When we had lost back-to-back wickets of Gill and Kohli, as a skipper, he should have been responsible. But arrogantly he jumped to cartwheel Ravindra to the stands and got stumped.
Fortunately he had the best players Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, who coolly guided the ship to the winning post. In fact, both Iyer and Rahul were the most consistent players throughout the tournament. We are glad that the future of Indian cricket is in the safe hands of youngsters, who shine consistently.
