My friend last week, while going to New Delhi, landed in Dubai on transit. He met with his friends and relatives. I also took him to many places in Sharjah, showed him Sharjah Museum Of Islamic Civilization, Heritage Village and other places. He was amazed to see how Sharjah has preserved heritage so beautifully. He was in awe of the museum also. The best part is that he liked the freedom to move around in the UAE anytime. We drove to Abu Dhabi and had Iftar at the iconic Sheikh Zayed Mosque and while returning we had suhoor in Dubai. He could not believe his eyes that we could travel almost 500 kilometres without any hassle.
I must appreciate UAE authorities for making our life so smooth. I had never ever in my life dare to drive at 2am but here I have no issue. I enjoy driving in the night as there is not much traffic and can reach anywhere without issues. Even while departing from Dubai my friend fell in love with the smooth management of Dubai Airport. It is Eid time and people are flying in and out of Dubai and Sharjah but you won’t find any issue at all. Volunteers at the airport are on their toes to serve passengers. Even Dubai Metro is monitored by polite, customer-friendly staff. I saw lots of security staff were there to guide passengers. No wonder UAE is a wonderful place to be in.
