Ramadan is over. Life has become normal. We are back to normal routine. But I am missing the warmth of the Holy Month of Ramadan. During the whole month, I noticed people shared food, water, dates etc with strangers. A number of times, I got dates and water while I was at traffic signals in Sharjah and Dubai. Even I saw people distributing water during the night prayers in almost all mosques every day.
Once I was in the City Centre with my family busy shopping during Iftar time, all of a sudden one family came in front from behind us and gave us lots of food and juices. Even once I was in the parking lot of Fesival City and one gentleman came to me with lots of eatables and dates, even asked me if I can join him for Iftar. This gesture I always see in Ramadan here and I am amazed. How much warmth and care Ramadan brings to us! I had been to many places before coming to the UAE, and I found people are very generous in the Holy Month of Ramadan, but in the UAE, generosity is at a very high level and that’s why I love the UAE. I have been in this country for two decades and I always wait for Ramadan to enjoy the hospitality of people.
