When we learnt that M.S. Dhoni would return as captain, we had expected some turnaround for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lying low. However, it seems there is no end to CSK’s woes. In fact, their performance against KKR was the worst in the recent past. Every CSK batsman struggled to tackle the spinners of KKR and just caved in, like a pack of cards, for a paltry score of 103. Even a club team could have easily surpassed this target in 15 overs. If we are not mistaken, the CSK team had played the maximum dot balls than any other team. If this trend continues, I am worried about their chances of getting ahead.
