Excellent team

Hats off to the Delhi Capitals, especially KL Rahul and its captain, Axar Patel, for their excellent performance during the ongoing IPL Season 18 and top the points table. At this rate, we are sure they will qualify for the playoff places and could possibly lift this season’s IPL title.

While the DC franchise owners must be elated in getting rid of Pant, they will be happy to pick KL Rahul as his substitute. The LSG must be ruing their kicking out KL Rahul from the team and buying Rishabh Pant for a hefty sum. If I am not mistaken, most of the highest paid players have always failed to deliver and Pant is no exception.

He seems to be clueless in every action, including his batting position. He has tried to retrieve by promoting himself as opener to No.7, and failed to click in any number. Everyone cannot become MS Dhoni. Like LSG, even KKR must be kicking themselves for kicking out Shreyas Iyer, last season’s title winner for them.

He has proved to be the success story of Punjab Kings. Unfortunately, even CSK erred in discarding Hazlewood, Santner and even Moeen Ali, who are real match winners on their day. No doubt, they are likely to be the wooden spoon this season.
