It is valid for 90 days and can be extended for another 90 days upon request without the requirement of a guarantor or proof of prior entry into Qatar, the ICP added.

More than 88% of the UAE’s population is made up of expatriates who rely on valid visas to live and work in the emirate, and the country’s Residency-by-Investment program has been sought out as a means of greater stability.
The Ministry of Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that UAE had not banned or blacklisted the issuance of visas to Pakistanis belonging to specific cities.
In 2022, the ICP stopped putting the visa sticker on the residents’ passports stating that the ID on the residency was enough, to reduce the time and effort for expatriates wishing to obtain or renew the residency.
The initiative aims to enable residents who work in the private sector and wish to return to their home countries to do so during the period of precautionary measures undertaken in the UAE to contain the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19.
Once approved, residents are allowed to travel to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah provided they meet UAE vaccination criteria.
The UAE looks set to attract more foreign investment this year as the government has introduced various measures for ease of doing business to facilitate global investors to relocate their businesses into the country.
