During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various issues of mutual concern and explored new avenues to strengthen cooperation in various fields to serve the development goals of both nations.
Under Sheikh Mohammed’s directives, the two flights transporting essential relief departed from Dubai and Sharjah airports. The transportation of the relief material was facilitated by International Humanitarian City in Dubai (IHC).
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, “The UAE is keen to discover new paths of constructive cooperation with Syria, and to monitor opportunities through which various aspects of cooperation can be pushed forward to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.”

Sheikh Mohammed praised the ongoing development efforts in African countries and various initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for people to benefit from projects related to natural resources in these countries.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and Masrour Barzani explored new avenues to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and Iraq, particularly the Kurdistan Region, in various fields to serve the development goals of both nations.
In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, has issued Decree No. 1 of 2020 placing Dubai government sports organisations under the supervision of Dubai Sports Council (DSC).
During his tour Sheikh Mohammed directed all airport entities to continue their efforts to further enhance global competitiveness and passenger experience at Dubai International Airports.
