Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed that 1,631,861 million riders used its public transport, shared mobility means and taxis during the the New Year’s Eve 2022.
During the month of Ramadan, customer happiness centres will open from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 17:00, and on Friday from 9:00 to 14:00. RTA’s Head Office will operate as usual around the clock.
The French capital's public transport operator RATP said nearly every line would be shut down or operating with only limited rush-hour service, and urged people to work from home or postpone trips if possible.

The breakdown of ridership was as follows: Metro: 958,161 riders (compared to 640,175 last year), Tram: 49,855 riders (compared to 34,672 last year), and public buses: 395,930 riders (compared to 331,837 last year).
For the first three days of COP28, certain roads near Expo City Dubai will be closed due to heightened security protocols. Visitors may also experience last-minute changes or closures during the event, which is why everyone is encouraged to use the Dubai Metro.
