The return of mobility and trade among the GCC countries as per the Al Ula agreement will be within a week after the agreement has been signed, Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
He added that what happened in Al Ula "gives us an opportunity to strengthen the region's security and stability."
Regarding COP28, Dr. Gargash remarks that the event is of utmost importance to the UAE as it addresses one of the most critical challenges facing humanity. He avers that the UAE would make a significant impact and leave its mark on the event.
Dr. Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the UAE, condemned the Israeli targeting of Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip and confirms the priority of respecting humanitarian law.
"To prevent the entrenchment of divisive narratives and confront all forms of extremism, a resolute and collective effort is imperative,” he stressed.
The meeting also addressed the recent talks held by Grundberg and other international parties to extend the truce in Yemen and reach a permanent ceasefire, as well as encourage relevant parties to return to the negotiating table and reach a peaceful settlement.
