A UAE-based firm has adopted a holistic approach for labourers and started a project for installing free Wi-Fi and TV screens on labourers’ buses. This was revealed in a press event on Monday.
Details date back to earlier when the labourer filed a lawsuit demanding his company to pay him Dhs3,500,000 in compensation for the body injury and the earnings he lost due to the injury.
The Midday break rule period, which started on June 15, prohibiting any outdoor labour work between 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm across the UAE - will end on Wednesday (Sept.15).
To help labourers in UAE overcome the effect of Covid-19 outbreak, Dar Al Ber Society has distributed over 130,000 meals to them at various labour camps around the UAE.
The campaign also targets all engineers, consultants, supervisors, workers, and contracting and engineering consulting companies in Dubai.
