Ahmed Saleh Al Shehhi, riding the Catch Me Hippolyte of the Al Kamda stables, was crowned champion at the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endurance Cup for the private stables for a distance of 100km, which was held at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba.
The event was held under the patronage and support of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The race was organised by the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba, in cooperation with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, and witnessed the participation of 127 jockeys representing different equestrian clubs of the country.
The champion managed to win after a strong performance in the four stages of the race, recording a time of 3:24:40 with an average speed of 29.31 km/h.
Representing Al Hazm 4 Stables, Ibrahim Ali riding Ras Sidoctor finished second with a time of 3:25 while the rider Abdullah Ali Al-Jahouri on Al Sis Amore for Enjaz Stables took third spot.
Musallam Al Ameri, General Manager of Emirates International Endurance Village, gave away the trophies to the winners in the presence of Mohammed Al Hadrami, Events Manager, Abdul Rahman Al Rumaithi, village supervisor, Khalaf Salem Al Wahidi, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abdullah Al Naqbi, representative of the Equestrian Federation, and Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the Racing Festival of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Ameri hailed the support of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Amiri congratulated the winners and praised the commitment of the participants and their cooperation with the organizing committee in the success of the two races.
