Binous Classic Championship concluded on Saturday with the participation of 500 athletes from different countries in the world and a number of UAE national team players.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Anis Binous, Chairman of the Organising Committee, and a number of dignitaries attended the final of the three-day championship, which was held at Binous Gym.
Organised by Binous Gym, the championship was held in association with the Dubai Sports Council and the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.
Sheikh Abdullah praised the efforts made by the organizing committee and stated that they had assisted in establishing the Binous Classic Championship as a new competition at the UAE level.
Mohamed Ghazi topped the men's classic physique category, and Alaa Abdel Khaleq took the top spot in the youth category. Mohammed Musa Al Moallem outclassed his rivals in the arm wrestling category.
The championship offered a whopping prize purse of Dhs800,000 and included arm wrestling, bodybuilding, men’s physique, and fitness challenges in addition to boxing and kickboxing competitions.
Hailing the support of the Dubai Sports Council and Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Binous expressed his delight over the success of the event.
“It was one of the strongest bodybuilding competitions held in the country. The championship was made possible by state-of-the-art facilities and management's access to a plethora of sporting knowledge,” said Binous.
