Sanguem Warriors emerge on top as Goa Sport Festival ends on high note

Dubai witnessed a spectacular display of sportsmanship and community bonding as the Goa Sport Festival took center stage at InSportz Club in Al Quoz, recently.

Hosted by GWS, the event marked a tremendous celebration of Goan culture, athleticism, and unity.

The Goan Connecting Goans Association left no stone unturned in organizing this extraordinary event that catered to the vibrant community of Goans residing in Dubai as well as sports enthusiasts from across the Emirate.

Attendees were treated to an exhilarating lineup of games that included cricket, table tennis, badminton, carrom, and football.

The atmosphere was electric as participants showcased their sporting prowess and competed with unwavering passion.

The event provided non-stop entertainment, and thrilling matches kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.

Families and friends came together to cheer on their favorite teams, fostering a sense of togetherness that truly embodies the spirit of the Goan community.

The Sanguem Warriors were crowned overall champions, with Adil Khan winning two gold medals for them.

Chandwada FC finished second, while third place went to the Unknown Virus Team.

"We are thrilled with the overwhelming response to the Goa Sport Festival 2023," said Joseph Dias, the chairman of Goans Connecting Goans.

"It was heartening to witness the enthusiasm and sportsmanship of our fellow Goans and sports enthusiasts in Dubai. We believe in creating memorable experiences that bring communities closer, and this event was a testament to that."
