The seventh edition of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship was off to a perfect start with the participation of 40 teams, including 168 male and female parachutists representing 27 countries.

Organised by the Emirates Aerosports Federation, the much-anticipated Dubai International Parachuting Championship is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.

The countries taking part in the championship include the UAE, Bahrain, Spain, the US, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, France, Bulgaria, Austria, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Canada, Lithuania, Moldova, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Britain, Libya, Australia, the Bahamas, Serbia, Sweden, and Brazil.

The Skydive Dubai area serves as a meeting spot for delegations, takeoffs, and landings and is also a venue for ‘sliding competition," while the landing area at the Address Beach Hotel hosts the ‘accuracy landing’ competition.

The Skydive Dubai area transformed into a hive of activity, buzzing with parachutists, judges, technicians, and guests.

This marked the beginning of a new journey towards success following the triumphant conclusion of the European Skydiving Championship.

Colonel Nilton Gomes, President of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), was the chief guest on the occasion.

Gomes expressed his pleasure in attending any event in the UAE, affirming, "Within CISM, we encompass 140 countries with full membership, overseeing the organization of sports and activities across these nations. I can confidently state that the UAE stands as one of the most active, dynamic, and enthusiastic participants in all events. It ranks among the best countries for hosting championships. I was thrilled to receive an invitation to witness the conclusion of the European Parachuting Championship in 'Accuracy Landing.'

“My passion for parachuting has cultivated numerous friendships with those overseeing the sport and its practitioners."
