The 15th edition of the Gold Cup kicked off on the grounds of Al Habtoor Polo Club.

The inaugural match of the Gold Cup 2024 featured an intense showdown between the Dubai Wolves by CAFU and Ghantoot Polo.

From the outset, the competitive spirit was evident, with players eager to secure goals. Ghantoot Polo's Pablo Llorente netted the first goal, promptly answered by Benjamin Panelo of the Dubai Wolves by CAFU, with support from team-mate Santiago Laborde.

Both teams received penalty shots throughout the game, but the Dubai Wolves by CAFU maintained stability and took the lead.

In the final chukkers, Ghantoot Polo narrowed the gap with Marcos Araya's contribution, intensifying the match. However, the Dubai Wolves by CAFU ultimately emerged victorious.

The next qualification matches for the Gold Cup will be on Saturday, with Mahra Polo Team by AIX Investment Group locking horns against UAE Polo and Habtoor Polo facing Bangash Polo Team by Dodson&Horrell.
