In a classic case of old world charm meeting the future, Dubai will play host to a one-of-a-kind polo tournament, set against the backdrop of the much-awaited Bitcoin halving event.

Founded by luminaries in the web3 sector - Nikita Sachdev, Forbes Council Member & prominent voice in crypto and blockchain, and Philip Lord, President of Tether-backed crypto payments firm Oobit, the Crypto Polo Cup Dubai edition follows the success of its inaugural event in Palm Beach, promising to unite world-class players and Web3 enthusiasts through one of the world's oldest team sports.

To be held at the prestigious Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, the tourney will see four teams vie for glory; backed respectively by leading web3 companies such as Layer 1 blockchain Solana’s Superteam, popular meme coin Shiba Inu, leading crypto exchange Bitcoin.com and Oobit.

The team captained by Escobar and owned by Multibank Group won the last edition of the event which was held in Palm Beach 2022.

The highlight of the tourney is Bitcoin evangelist Roger Ver's Bitcoin.com squaring off in their first match with Shiba Inu, with Solana Superteam pitted against Oobit.
