Dubai: The emirate of Dubai continues attracting further sports training camps for international clubs, national teams and prominent stars in various sports Olympic Games.
In this regard, the first Brazilian national volleyball team organizes an international training camp in Dubai as part its preparations for Paris Olympics 2024 and the Global League in Japan.
The Brazilian National Team’s trainings take place at Al-Nasr Sports Club and Dubai Police Officers Club, which comprises well-equipped sports facilities and trainings hall, designed as per world standards.
Dubai has become a main destination in volleyball field, as several top European national volleyball teams participated in the 11th edition of Nad Al-Sheba Sports Tournament, organized annually by Dubai Sports Council (DSC).
Dubai also hosted the tryouts of the South Korean Volleyball Federation, which were held with participation of elite of male and female players from all over the world, out of whom several players were named by experts from the South Korean Volleyball Federation to join the Korean Pro Volleyball League. The Emirate is currently hosting the trainings of the Brazilian National Volleyball Team as part of its preparations for Paris Olympics 2024.
The Brazilian Team is top on the list of the nominees to win the volleyball’s title in Paris Olympics.
The presence of prominent stars to participate in competitions, attend tryouts or join training camps confirms the eminent and prestigious status of Dubai in volleyball field, based on its sports facilities of top world standards, attractive tourist landmarks and distinctive quality of life.
The Brazilian National Team is the world’s 5th ranked as per latest International Volleyball Federation’s ranking.
The Brazilian Team has won 6 Olympic medals, including three golden medals and three silver medals, and gained three world championship’s titles, three world cups, five titles of senior champions’ world cup, nine world league’s titles, nations league’s title, three American cups, 33 South American championships’ titles and three American cups.
DSC continues collaboration with various entities from UAE and overseas to facilitate the presence of world clubs and athletes into Dubai to participate in training camps, which have become an eminent source for the sports sector’s contribution to Dubai’s domestic product, thanks to the great and continuous increasing in the numbers of clubs and national teams arriving to the Emirate to organize training camps.
Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament has played a vital role in development of many sports in the emirates. Launched and supported by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the 11th Ramadan Sports Tournament concluded with the volleyball final on March 31.
