The organising committee for the 8th Dubai International Parachuting Championship (DIPC) held its second meeting to review the preparations.
To be held under the patronage and support of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, the championship will take place from November 28 to December 5, 2024, at Skydive Dubai and organised by the Emirates Aerosport Federation (EAF).

Secretary General of Emirates Aerosports Federation and deputy head of the committee, presided over the meeting held at the federation’s headquarters in Dubai.
The meeting covered organizational preparations and logistical arrangements for the championship, including site selection, technical capabilities, medical provisions, and security and safety protocols.
Hammadi opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and conveying the greetings of the championship's Higher Organizing Committee.
He emphasised the importance of teamwork and adherence to security and safety standards, expressing confidence that the efforts of the working committees would contribute to the success of the higher organizing committee and the championship, further enhancing Dubai's reputation on the international sports stage.
Yousef affirmed that the organising committee would hold regular meetings leading up to the championship to monitor the execution of tasks, facilitate work processes, and address any challenges facing the working committees and logistical teams. This is part of the commitment to deliver an exceptional event for participants and spectators alike.
The meeting concluded with the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among committees and individuals, and the establishment of timelines to ensure readiness for the event, which is expected to attract international participants and a large audience, especially as it coincides with the UAE’s National Day celebrations.
